The Bohemian Society

I got into fashion by a fluke. I was dating a model at the time who was working for the biggest boutique on the west coast. I saw kids selling their seemingly home made wears to this boutique and thought to myself "I can do better than that." So I borrowed 25k and set out into the world of fashion, pushing my hand embellished t - shirts. At the time I didn't even know how a shirt was made. I was using them as a canvas of sorts. I also came up with an idea sort of based on a bohemian club up near san francisco. A place where the elite men of the world met to forget their cares. I thought I would create my own society but drop the elitist attitude while throwing it back in society's face by emulating it. The retailer bought the entire collection and within two weeks of coming up with the idea The Bohemian Society t shirts were selling in the window of the west coast's biggest retailer.

The idea for the society is for it to become much bigger than me. For it to take on a life of its own. Its own entity. And I feel it is becoming this way after 7 years of blood sweat and tears. I get emails and Facebook messages saying that I am inspiring people and that makes it all worth it to me. My personal goal as an artist is to give back and become one with art's collective unconscious from which i have drawn so much from. Eternal thoughts stemming from my art, and this is a them I want to thread my own work with. From a business standpoint my goal is to combine all of my different mediums to produce a feature film based on two rival gangs who come together to form the bohemian society. Then take the wardrobe form the film and create a street-wear line based on it . Basically to do for fashion what George Lucas has done for the action figure.
